# Introduction to the Drog

\
**Once there was a playful dog named Max who loved to run around and explore his backyard. One day, while chasing a butterfly, he stumbled upon a small pond where he saw a frog sitting on a lily pad. Max was intrigued by the frog's bright green color and the way it hopped around the pond.**\
\
**Curious, Max approached the frog and introduced himself. The frog's name was Fred and he was just as friendly as Max. From that day on, Max and Fred became the best of friends. They would spend hours playing tag, hide and seek, and even swimming in the pond together.**
**As the years went by, Max and Fred's friendship grew stronger. They were inseparable and always looked out for each other. Max would bring Fred tasty treats from the kitchen and Fred would catch flies for Max to chase.**
**But one day, Fred stopped coming out of the pond to play with Max. Max noticed that Fred seemed weak and wasn't as active as before. Concerned, Max asked Fred what was wrong. Fred sadly told Max that he had been diagnosed with cancer and didn't have much time left.**
**Max was devastated. He couldn't imagine life without his dear friend Fred. He stayed by Fred's side, comforting him and keeping him company. As Fred's condition worsened, Max took on the role of a nurse, bringing him food and water and making sure he was comfortable.**
**Sadly, Fred passed away a few days later. Max was heartbroken. He couldn't believe that his best friend was gone. He missed their games and adventures together. To honor Fred's memory, Max decided to become 'Drog' - a combination of their names. He wanted to keep Fred's spirit alive and remember the good times they shared.**
**Max would still visit the pond every day and sit by Fred's lily pad, reminiscing about their friendship. He even befriended other frogs in the pond, but none could ever replace his beloved Fred.**
**As the years went by, Max continued to be known as 'Drog' in the neighborhood. People would often ask him why he had such a unique name, and Max would proudly tell them the story of his friendship with Fred.**\
**Though Fred was no longer with him, Max knew that their bond would never be broken. He would always cherish the memories of his dear friend and be forever grateful for the time they had together. And as he looked up at the stars each night, Max knew that Fred was watching over him, still his best friend and forever a part of him.**
